Abstract
The article analyzes modern approaches to establishing restriction zones on lands of historical and cultural significance. The study examines the legal framework of Ukraine in comparison with international experience, particularly within EU countries. Special attention is given to the use of digital technologies, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), drones, and 3D modeling, for the identification, monitoring, and management of protective zones. The research provides insights and minor recommendations, including improving the legislative framework, implementing advanced technologies, creating mechanisms for compensating economic restrictions, and engaging communities in planning processes. The findings aim to enhance the efficiency of managing historical and cultural territories and their integration into contemporary urban and regional development strategies
