METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS REGARDING THE EVALUATION OF AESTHETIC QUALITIESOF AUTOMOBILE ROADS

Ihor Kiyashko

Abstract

In Articlethe existing system of evaluating the consumer properties of roads was analyzed, while the indicators that are not subject to quantitative assessment were identified, which also include the aesthetic qualities of roads. The influence of the roadside space, including the aesthetic qualities of the roads, on the users of road services is considered. It is analyzed in the workthe share of the influence of the human factor in ensuring traffic safety, the speed of processing by the driver of information about the road situation, the impact of ergonomics and aesthetics of road conditions on the productivity and reliability of the driver's activity, which allows taking into account the psychophysiological capabilities of the driver when designing highways and organizing traffic on the existing road network. For the quantitative assessment of the aesthetic condition of highways, it is proposed to use the method of comparing the corresponding ones values of indicators characterizing the aesthetic condition of roads with permissible values (normative requirements) based on the criterion of the absence or presence of the indicated indicators and their deviations. If one of the indicators does not correspond to the permissible value, defects are determined according to the level of aesthetic appeal, which are evaluated by the corresponding points. The methodology for assessing the aesthetic condition of the road and roadside space consists of a set of the following indicators in three groups: technical and operational indicators and road elements; architectural and landscape support and beautification; availability and condition of landscaping. The assessment of the aesthetic condition of roads according to the levels of aesthetic appeal is determined according to the weighted average values of the assessment of the aesthetic condition of the elements or indicators of the road in points obtained by calculations
