Abstract
The article considers theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the geo-ecological safety of affected territories of territorial communities of Ukraine in conditions of intense anthropogenic load and military actions. It summarises current ideas about the essence of the concepts of ‘geo-ecological safety’ and ‘affected territory’ and analyses existing systems of indicators of the ecological state of the environment at the international and national levels. A structuring of geo-ecological safety indicators by blocks is proposed: natural resources, technogenic-ecological, socio-demographic, and institutional. A list of key quantitative and qualitative indicators suitable for the integrated assessment of the geo-ecological safety of affected territories of territorial communities is formed, and examples of their use are given in the form of tables. The possibilities of applying the proposed system of indicators in planning the restoration, spatial development and ecological rehabilitation of territorial communities are outlined
